Description:
Our Yellow Cucumbers are a Caribbean cucumber species. Unlike some Pacific species of cucumbers, these are not known to let off any toxics into the tank if they were to pass in the tank making them very popular reef tank mates and clean-up crew members. The Yellow variety is less common as well as really pretty. Our Yellow cucumbers are very popular for us when available. These hardy filter feeding cucumbers are really beneficial in your saltwater aquarium. They sift the sand so an established sand bed is a must with these guys. They eat micro fauna, detritus, waste and algae from the sand bed making them excellent clean-up crew additions.
This species is nocturnal and most active at night. During the day they will often find a spot and not move a lot so do not be alarmed if they do not come out right away when you first get them into your aquarium or if they seem very slow. This is normal for these.
Our saltwater invertebrates are full strength saltwater animals. We highly recommend using RODI or distilled water for producing saltwater for your aquarium. Corals, macroalgae and other saltwater live animals can be sensitive to improper water quality or impurities that can come with regular bottled or tap water.

Please note: We are proud to offer a wide selection of diverse and healthy saltwater invertebrates. Color and appearance varies. Differences in lighting, glass, water parameters, and many other factors can influence how a specimen appears so it may appear different in your aquarium. We do not guarantee compatibility, color, exact size, exact species, shape of livestock. We quarantine and hold our invertebrates before offering them for sale. All invertebrates are housed in an invertebrate only system. We do not mix them with any other fish, macroalgae or other livestock. We have regularly checked through our specimens for pests. While we do our best to ensure all livestock is pest free, we do not guarantee any livestock is 100% pest free and always encourage good quarantine practices at home no matter where you get your livestock from.
Some fish may not be safe with your invertebrates. Certain invertebrates are not compatible with each other. Please research compatibility recommendations for tank mates.
