Star Astrea Snail-Great Algae Eaters

This is for a single Star Astrea snail, Astraea tecta.

Size Range: ~0.5-1.5+ inches. This species reaches ~0.5-1.5+ inches at full size. 

These unique shapred and hardy snails are great for eating algae in the aquarium. Star Astrea snails are native to the Caribbean.  They are really neat looking and less commonly available too. We recommend up to 1-2 Star Astrea snails per gallon in the aquarium to give you a general stocking idea.  

Reef Safe: These snails are peaceful invertebrates and considered reef safe meaning they are not known for harming other inverts, corals or fish in the aquarium.  

For our seahorse customers these are safe to keep with larger seahorse species such as H. erectus as well as Dwarf seahorses, H. zosterae.
