Description

Condylactis anemones are a popular Caribbean native species varying in colors and patterns. These are a hardy and considered an easy to keep anemone species.

Anemones are a fun saltwater tank mate to keep and popular among aquarist. This variety varies in colors, patterns and sizes vary with individuals. Color can appear different with different lighting. Colors often include light to dark purple. Some are light with purple too, colors and patterns vary.

Important Placement Information

It is recommended to place Anemones onto the rockwork. You may need to use gloves to hold the anemone in place on the rockwork to allow it to start to attach itself. This is important as you do not want it to go loose and possibly get stuck in the aquarium filtration or a powerhead as this could harm your anemone and aquarium tank mates. Anemones can move and detach themselves so having a proper setup to avoid issues when this occurs is recommended. Gloves are recommended when handling anemones for placement or cleaning the aquarium as they can sting you.

We recommend feeding anemones at least 2-3 times a week by target feeding them meaty foods such as Mysis shrimp and/or LRS Fish Frenzy Blend.

For our customers keeping seahorses, anemones are not safe tank mates with seahorses. We recommend giving the anemone at least 3 or more inches of space from other coral tank mates to avoid them stinging other corals. Gloves are recommended when handling anemones for placement or cleaning the aquarium as they can sting you.

Having a diverse aquarium clean-up crew invertebrates helps keep your aquarium healthy and balanced as well as a more natural environment. Different invertebrates play different roles in your aquarium such as algae eating, detritus eating, waste eating and more. Having clean-up crew in your aquarium helps reduce the amount of manual maintenance (algae scraping, excess food and waste removal ect) you have to do. Invertebrates can help with the cleanliness of your aquarium glass, sandbed, and rocks. Having a diverse aquarium adds to the fun of keeping the aquarium with more viewing fun.

Please note: We are proud to offer a wide selection of diverse and healthy saltwater invertebrates. Color and appearance varies. Differences in lighting, glass, water parameters, and many other factors can influence how a specimen appears so it may appear different in your aquarium. We do not guarantee compatibility, color, exact size, exact species, shape of livestock. We quarantine and hold our invertebrates before offering them for sale. All invertebrates are housed in an invertebrate only system. We do not mix them with any other fish, macroalgae or other livestock. We have regularly checked through our specimens for pests. While we do our best to ensure all livestock is pest free, we do not guarantee any livestock is 100% pest free and always encourage good quarantine practices at home no matter where you get your livestock from.

Some fish may not be safe with your invertebrates. Certain invertebrates are not compatible with each other. Please research compatibility recommendations for tank mates.
