Mexican Nerite Snail (Pretty Shells)
Mexican Nerite Snail, Nerita sp.
This is a smaller snails variety at only a quarter to half inch in size. They stay small and are great algae eaters. There small size makes them nice for reef tanks as they are not going to knock over your corals and other tank-mates easily. They are also great for Dwarf seahorse aquariums too. These have beautiful shell coloring and markings too, lots of variations. They are completely safe with our captive bred seahorses. These are great clean-up crew in a seahorse and reef aquarium. We recommend 6-20+ of these snails in a 30+ gallon aquarium to give you a general stocking idea.
