SPECIAL-Fighting Conch-Great Sand Sifters

Fighting Conch, Strombus alatus.

Size is approximately 2-3.5 inches.

These are hardy and great for eating leftover food and detritus in the sandbed.  They typically reside in the sandbed and come out during feeding time. They do not need to completely burrow in the sand and an inch of sand or more is plenty for them. These are great scavengers. In a 30 gallon aquarium we recommend 1-2 fighting conchs to give you a general stocking idea. They are safe to keep with our captive bred seahorses and pretty neat looking! Colors and patterns vary.
