Sale price Price $159.99 Regular price

This is for a captive bred Saddled Erectus Seahorse displaying yellow coloration. Single Seahorse.

Size: ~3-5+ inches, they reach 5-7+ inches with maturity. Stock photos are example photo only, not the exact seahorse you will receive. Color and markings vary.

**Special Note: These are displaying yellow coloration. Seahorse color is not fixed and changes with lighting, mood, surroundings and other factors. In our experience these tend to display brighter/yellow coloration more easily with lots of bright colored/orange hitching posts but like all seahorses, they can change color, even during shipping.**

Species: Hippocampus erectus, Common name: Lined Seahorse.

Beautiful saddling markings and tail bands. Line markings are may be pronounced as the seahorse matures. Colors vary and can change but are typically light, beige, brown, dark or other colors. Color is not fixed and seahorses can change color based on surroundings, diet, mood and other factors.

This genetic line of seahorses originates from South Florida. These Captive Bred seahorses are approximate 4-6 months old. You can expect them to reach 5-7+ inches with maturity. These are captive bred and raised from another farm and have been held at our farm before offered for sale. They are smaller then the juvenile seahorses we have raised and offered in the past but they are doing great and look nice. Our larger species production is currently on hold and we do not have an update on when we will have those species available again at this time.

This is the most common seahorse species hobbyist start out with. They are very hardy and great beginner seahorses!

Breeding: This species typically produces 50-500+ fry. Males are pregnant for 14-21 days. Fry typically hitch from day one. Newly hatched Artemia (brine shrimp) can be used as a first food for fry.

These captive bred seahorses are very healthy, active, friendly and full of personality. These seahorses are trained to eat frozen Mysis shrimp from a young age. We recommend feeding them Hikari BioPure Mysis shrimp 2-3 times daily. Seahorses are very social animals. They do best when kept paired or in a group.

Please see our Seahorse Info page to learn more about the care of our seahorses.
