Aquarium Conditioned-Spotted Toby Puffer

Aquarium Conditioned-Spotted Toby Pufferfish-Canthigaster punctatissima. 

Size: ~1.5-2.5+ inches. They will reach up to 2-3 inches with maturity.

Spotted Toby Pufferfish are a unique fish species and are best known for their small size and beautiful colors. This specific species is from Central America's Pacific Coast. These pufferfish will also eat small pellets such as PE pellets, TDO pellets, frozen Mysis shrimp, Calanus, and more. We recommend feeding them often such as 2-3 times daily.  This is a popular fish species.

Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are quarantined and observed at our aquaculture facility before offered for sale. We prophylactically deworm all our fish as well as run an anti-parasitic treatment on all of our fish.  

We recommend housing this species singly. This is a great and fun species for those not keeping seahorses. This species is not to be kept with seahorses as they tend to nip. They are considered partially reef safe species meaning they do not typically go after invertebrates and corals but keep an eye on them. It is best to make sure they are also well fed to also help reduce risk of them nipping at other tank mates. It is possible for some individuals to be more nippy with corals then others but they are generally considered reef safe.
