Aquarium Conditioned-Lyretail Anthias

Aquarium Conditioned-Lyretail Anthias, Pseudanthias squamipinnis. Female.

Size: ~1.5-2+ inches. Males are generally larger in size. They will reach up to ~2-3.5+ inches with maturity. Colors and patterns vary.

We are excited to offer Lyretail Anthias Anthias also known as Squamipinnis anthias. These anthias are a beautiful and vibrant in color. Female squamipinnis anthias are orange in coloration and males are bright pink with red-pink markings. This is a great species if you are looking for something colorful, active and social. They do well singly or in a group. This a small peaceful Anthias species and one of the easier species to keep. They have lots of personality. These are not as aggressive feeders as some other Anthias species making them compatible tank-mates with our larger species of captive bred seahorses including H. erectus. We are feeding them a variety of TDO pellets, PE Pellets, frozen Mysis shrimp, frozen Calanus, LRS frozen nano blend and a variety of other foods at our farm.

Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are quarantined and observed at our aquaculture facility before offered for sale. We prophylactically deworm all our fish as well as run an anti-parasitic treatment on all of our fish.  

We recommend housing this species singly, paired or in a group. They are peaceful fish and friendly to keep with our captive bred seahorses.  You only want one male in a group. Males of this species will likely not be compatible in the same aquarium. We recommend a 90 gallon or larger for this species.
