Moon Ball Sponge

This is for a single Moon Ball Sponge also known as a Crater Sponge

Moon ball sponges are one of the hardier sponge varieties. This is considered an encrusting specie. They are white/gray just like the moon giving them their name. They are filter feeding and you want to keep them completely submerged at all times. You do not want to take these out of the water. When placing them into the aquarium you will want to open the bag under water to release the sponge into the aquarium. These do best in an established aquarium. You do not want algae to grow on them so putting them in a higher flow and shaded area may be best placement. This sponge varieties is safe to keep with our captive bred seahorses.
