Size: ~2-2.5+ inches when fully open

Lighting: moderate to high light

Water flow: moderate to higher water flow

Whether this is your very first coral or something new to your established reef, our Leather corals add gentle swaying movement and great polyp extension. This coral is hardy and tolerant of many different aquarium conditions. Leather corals are great beginner and soft coral tank species.

It is important to give corals their own space in the aquarium. We recommend giving them at least 2-3+ inches of their own space so they do not sting or irritate other corals. This will also give them room to grow in the aquarium.

For our customers keeping seahorses, this coral variety is peaceful and considered safe with larger species (not Dwarf seahorses) of seahorses. 

We recommend using RODI water when mixing your saltwater. Corals can be sensitive to improper water quality.

Many coral species will "close up" during shipping and can take a day or up to a week or more to open. This is normal and expected when you receive them.
