Aquarium Conditioned-Yellow Eye Bristletooth Tang, Ctenochaetus truncatus.

Size: ~3-3.5 inches. They will reach up to ~5-6+ inches with maturity.

We are excited to offer Yellow Eye Bristletooth Tangs. They are beautiful! This is a great algae grazer to help keep nuisance algae in check in the aquarium.  This species is not to be mistaken for the Yellow Eye Kole Tang (Ctenochaetus strigosus). We are feeding them a variety of prepared foods including frozen Mysis shrimp, Nori, frozen Calanus, LRS frozen nano blend, and a variety of other foods at our farm.

Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are quarantined and observed at our aquaculture facility before offered for sale. We prophylactically deworm all our fish as well as run an anti-parasitic treatment on all of our fish.  

They are a generally peaceful fish and possible to keep with our larger seahorse species (not Dwarf seahorses) at a younger age like these. When they grow they may be rehoused to a non seahorse aquarium or this is a great species for our customers not keeping seahorses. Of course, keep an eye on them for signs of aggression with other tank mates. We recommend a large aquarium for them such as a 125 gallon or larger.
