We are excited to offer aquarium conditioned Randall's Assessor. This dark blue-green Assessor species enjoys swimming in the open and around the rock work in the aquarium. They are fascinating fish that exhibit unusual behavior. In nature, as well as in the reef tank, they can often be found swimming upside down. This is an adaptation used in their habitat where they’re usually found in caves or under ledges. Creating a similar habitat in the aquarium will allow them to exhibit this unique swimming behavior. They only reach ~2-2.5 inches. These are in the same family as Marine Bettas, Plesiopidae. They are native to the western Pacific.

Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are quarantined and observed at our aquaculture facility before offered for sale. We prophylactically deworm all our fish as well as run an anti-parasitic treatment on all of our fish.  Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are trained to eat small pellets such as PE pellets, TDO pellets, frozen Mysis shrimp, Calanus, and more. 

We recommend housing only one or a pair of this species in the same tank. They are peaceful fish and friendly to keep with our captive bred seahorses. These fish are very hardy.
