Size: ~0.5-1 inches. They will reach up to 1.5+ inches with maturity.
Pink Smith Damselfish are a hardy beginner fish with brilliant pink color. This species is native to Bali and other parts of the Pacific. In the aquarium they often will find a cave or area in the rock that they prefer to hang out in but will also come out in the open. When stressed the Pink Smith Damselfish can turn grayish to avoid predators. This color change is commonly seen after shipping during acclimation. They are generally easy to pair up when adding two of them to the aquarium at the same time or a small group. These are sure to add bright color to your aquarium and are very hardy and great beginner fish.
Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are quarantined and observed at our aquaculture facility before offered for sale. We prophylactically deworm all our fish as well as run an anti-parasitic treatment on all of our fish. Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are trained to eat small pellets such as PE pellets, TDO pellets, frozen Mysis shrimp, Calanus, and more.
These can be kept singly, paired and are often successfully kept in a small group when added to the aquarium at the same time. They are generally a peaceful fish and friendly to keep with our captive bred seahorses. These fish are very hardy.
