Aquarium Conditioned-Blue Throat Triggerfish male and female Pair. Xanthichthys auromarginatus. This is a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) item meaning you will receive the exact fish in the photo.

Size: ~3.5-4+ inches. They will reach up to ~5-8+ inches with maturity.

We are excited to pairs of Blue Throat Triggerfish. They are beautiful! This species has some unique care requirements so make sure this fish is for you! These are a hardy triggerfish species native to the Indo-Pacific. This species is known for its distinct blue throat on males and yellow-edge fins. This species reaches up to 8+ inches so a large aquarium such as a 125 gallon or larger is recommended for these. This is one species of triggerfish that is generally considered reef-safe with caution. With that said, these will often eat inverts like shrimp and crabs. Avoid tiny tank mates such as tiny fish with this species. We are feeding them a variety of prepared foods including frozen Mysis shrimp, Nori, frozen Calanus, LRS frozen nano blend, and a variety of other foods at our farm. This species teeth are continuously growing so offering them a diet that includes hard-shelled foods is crucial.

Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are quarantined and observed at our aquaculture facility before offered for sale. We prophylactically deworm all our fish as well as run an anti-parasitic treatment on all of our fish.  

These are not safe to keep with seahorses!!
