Halloween Hermit Crab (Popular)

This is for a single Halloween Hermit crab-Ciliopagurus strigatus

These are a larger and more stocky than other hermit crab species such as our Blue Leg hermit crabs. They have beautiful bright color and are very nice. They are approximately 3/4-1.5 inches. Their shells are often covered in desirable purple coralline algae which can help seed the display tank. These are great scavengers. They are known for eating hair algae as well as cyanobacteria. They will eat leftover food and graze on algae in the aquarium. In a 30 gallon aquarium we recommend ~1-10+of these hermit crabs to give you a general stocking idea. They are safe to keep with our captive bred seahorses and very pretty!
