Aquarium Conditioned-Pacific Pygmy Angelfish

Aquarium Conditioned-Pacific Pygmy Angel, Centropyge flavicauda.

We are excited to offer Pacific Pygmy Angels. The Pygmy Angel is one of the smallest angels in the genus Centropyge. Adults of this species rarely reach over 2 inches. Their body is a royal blue color with a white-yellow tail. This is a great species if you are looking for something unique and different. We are feeding them a variety of TDO pellets, PE Pellets, frozen Mysis shrimp, frozen Calanus, LRS frozen nano blend and a variety of other foods at our farm. They will also graze on algae in the aquarium.

Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are quarantined and observed at our aquaculture facility before offered for sale. We prophylactically deworm all our fish as well as run an anti-parasitic treatment on all of our fish.  

Size: ~1-2 inches. They will reach up to ~2 inches with maturity.

We recommend housing this species singly or as a bonded pair. If you want to keep them as a pair we recommend adding two individuals at the same time. They are peaceful fish and friendly to keep with our captive bred seahorses. There is a possibility of them nipping at corals. Keeping them well fed lessens the likelihood of them nipping on corals. Of course, keep an eye on them. We recommend a 50-70+ gallon or larger aquarium for this species.
