Cultured Plating Blue-Purple Photosynthetic Sponge
This for a single Purple Plating Aquacultured Sponge.
Size: ~1-1.5 inches
This is considered a plating species and is a hardy and typically faster growing sponge. They are filter feeding and photosynthetic meaning they need light to thrive. You want to keep them completely submerged at all times. You do not want to take these out of the water. When placing them into the aquarium you will want to open the bag under water to release the sponge into the aquarium. We recommend placing them on the rock work in an area with a good amount of water flow. These do best in an established aquarium. You do not want algae to grow on them so putting them in a higher flow and shaded area may be best placement. This sponge varieties is safe to keep with our captive bred seahorses.
