Aquarium Conditioned Blue Stripe Pipefish

This is for a single Aquarium Conditioned Blue Stripe Pipefish, Doryrhamphus excisus 

Size: 1.5-2 inches, small species.

We are super excited to offer Blue Stripe pipefish!!! Please read care information below:

We are currently feeding them frozen Mysis shrimp and live enriched Artemia and Artemia nauplii. They are actively eating frozen Hikari BioPure Mysis shrimp. In an established aquarium they will also graze on copepods. They are a small species only reaching 1.5-2.5 inches as adults and do not have a high food demand like large seahorses.  

NOTE: This species can be kept with our captive bred seahorses. Blue Stripes are a very small pipefish species so make sure they will not go through your overflows on your aquarium! If you plan on having them in their own aquarium a 10 gallon minimum aquarium size is recommended, larger is even better. We recommend housing this species individually or as a male and female pair. This species is very likely to be aggressive towards its own species of the same sex!! 

Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are quarantined and observed at our aquaculture facility before offered for sale. We prophylactically deworm all our fish as well as run an anti-parasitic treatment on all of our fish.

We keep them at the same temperature and water parameters as our H. erectus seahorses. We recommend 70-74 F if kept with our captive bred seahorses but they can be kept up to 78-80 F in an aquarium.
