CYBER MONDAY SPECIAL-Scarlet Hermit Crab

Scarlet Hermit crab-Paguristes cadenati

These are a bit larger than other hermit crab species such as our Blue Leg hermit crabs. They are approximately 3/4-1.5 inches and beautiful scarlet red in color. Their shells are often covered in desirable purple coralline alage which can help seed the display tank. These are great scavengers. They will eat leftover food and graze on algae in the aquarium. In a 30 gallon aquarium we recommend ~1-12 of these hermit crabs to give you a general stocking idea. They are safe to keep with our captive bred seahorses and very pretty!
